My mum was a feisty little woman and we often used to clash especially whilst I was a teenager but she was also a loving mum and grandma and times when I needed her she was there for me.She used to say you will miss me when I have gone and she was right.She had a wicked sense of humour and if she wasnt teasing me she was teasing her grandchildren.When she lost my dad all the fight went out of her even though they argued most days she loved him with all her heart. My mum had four daughters who she loved enormously and was proud of all of them even though some times it was hard for her to show her feelings.She loved going out to carboots markets and having a laugh with friends and neighbours.As a woman she was quick witted hot tempered but always loyal to family and friends.She especially loved her grandchildren and spoke proudly of them all they grew up unfortunately she wasnt around to see all of them grow up but I know she would of been proud of them all.Originally she came from Retford from a big family but met my dad from Gainsborough them eventually moved to Scunthorpe where she spent rest of their lives together .
